Exchange Students

Welcome to apply for exchange studies in Biology at Lund university! Most of our intermediate and advanced courses are taught in English. Find a variety of courses in Biology and Molecular Biology under "courses" in the upper menu.

The term exchange student implies that your home university has a formal agreement to exchange students with Lund University. The agreement can also be specific to the Faculty of Science or to us; The Department of Biology at Lund University.

Application procedure

You apply for the exchange program at your home university; either through your central International office or through an international coordinator at your department or faculty. You must have sufficient proficiency in English.

Your home university nominates you before you can formally apply for exchange studies at Lund University.

If you are an Erasmus student, you should hand in your application to the Erasmus coordinator at your home university who will forward it to us (see address below). Please use our application form that is available in the right column on this page. Fill it in on-line, then print it out and hand in to your coordinator. Application periods are March 1 to April 25 for the ensuing autumn term and September 1 to October 25 for the ensuing spring term.

You may apply for housing, Swedish language courses, and mentor and orientation programs on-line by using the same application form (right column). Note that the form is only available during the application periods.

Preferably send a scanned version of your application to christina.ledje@biol.lu.se. If you send the original application instead, the address is: Department of Biology, Christina Ledje, PhD, Sölvegatan 37, SE-223 62 LUND, SWEDEN. It will then reach the right address directly. If you send it to other adresses at Lund University, It will also arrive, but later.
