Application and admission to postgraduate studies

Eligibility

To be eligible to become a postgraduate student at the Department of Biology applicants are generally required to have a recognised undergraduate degree. This degree should normally be in a discipline relevant to that in which postgraduate studies are to be pursued, but this requirement can be waived in special circumstances. In addition, each research discipline has other specific requirements, but again these can be waived in special circumstances.

Full details of eligibility can be found in:

General Curriculum in Biology (this document is at the moment only available in Swedish)

Application

Open positions are announced at the Faculty of Science. We have no specific dates for when an application to PhD studies should be submitted. Positions become available depending on economy. If you are interested in pursuing a PhD in Biology contact a potential supervisor in the field of research you are interested in.

Applications are made at the application form at the Faculty of science (pdf). A curriculum vitae and any other supporting documentation should accompany your application.
