The purpose of the seminars was twofold: (1) to critically engage with local stakeholders on the issues pertaining to just and durable peace and (2) to assess the EU peace-building capacity in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The regional seminars addressed two sets of related issues: (1) European Union peacebuilding in the Western Balkans and (2) development of a broader EU peacebuilding Framework. The policy conference aimed to bridge the gap between policy and research and promote dialogue between scholars and practitioners. It addressed the quest for building a just and durable peace in the Middle East and the Western Balkans. A number of policy recommendations were distilled from this critical dialouge.
