Lund University holds a broad competence within climate change research. Researchers that work with climate related issues can be found in all university faculties and our research comprises everything from understanding fundamental mechanisms in the climate system to adaptation and mitigation of climate change.
This enables us to cover different aspects of the climate issue and makes an excellent breeding ground for interdisciplinary research, as shown by the approval of several state-funded strategic and Linnaeus research programs.
The climate research at Lund University is clustered into twelve areas. Within each area, there are several interdisciplinary programs and projects with the research being performed at different departments and institutes.
