Performance Programme – Music and Drama


This programme will not be given during the year 2013/2014.

Description of Programme of Study - Répétiteur

After the successful completion of the programme, students shall have the knowledge, understanding and skills required to work as a répétiteur in musical theatre. 



The independent project is carried out through work placement at the Malmö Opera.



At the start of the programme, students draw up an individual study plan together with the Malmö Music Academy and Malmö Opera. 



Teaching is carried out in cooperation with the Malmö Opera.



Once the programme is successfully completed, students are awarded a degree of Master in Music.

Description of Programme of Study – Vocal Studies

The programme aims to prepare the student for a professional career as a répétiteur within opera and musical theatre. 



After successfully completing the programme the student shall have acquired sound vocal skills and knowledge of staging practices and role and text analysis.



Students shall, on completion of the course, be able to express and organise scenic layout in a creative and artistic manner and have developed a sound ability to work both as a soloist and chorister in operatic and musical productions in varying genres of music and drama. 



Languages of instruction are Swedish and English.
