For a Master of Science, 30 credits is required in theory of
science/research methods, whereof at least 15 credits must be in
research methods and at least 7.5 credits have to be in theory of
science. The courses SIMM23 and SIMM24 are courses in theory of science.
SIMM22, SIMM25-SIMM31 are courses in research methods.

For SIMP- and SIMS-courses:
The student must have fulfilled at
least 150 credits including a graded thesis for the degree of Bachelor
or a completed major in Social Sciences, Economics and Management,
Social Science-oriented disciplines in Humanities, or another equivalent
background.
For SIMM-courses
These courses build on previous studies in
Social Sciences. To be qualified the student must have at least 150
credits including a graded thesis for the degree of Bachelor or a
completed major in Social Sciences. For a list of disciplines see: General

A high level of proficiency in the English language is necessary:
The course students must also have a minimum average grade in their Bachelor´s studies equivalent to 3.0 out of 4 in cumulated grade point average (CGPA), C in the ECTS grading scale, and B in the American grading scale. For students with Swedish undergraduate studies the minimum requirement is G.
