I took my M.Sc. in 2007 and started my PhD studies in 2008. My main interests are evolution, species determination and plants (bryophytes in particular). In my PhD project I study different aspects of bryophyte dwarf males, particularly in my study organism Homalothecium lutescens (read more about the project here).
Apart from my PhD studies, I also do some webpage-work, foremost for the unit of Biodiversity but also for WINGS, a scientific network within the Faculty of Science (LU).
I enjoy teaching and do so mostly on the basic Botany and Floristics courses. At the moment I hold the following positions of trust within the university:
I am also part of the board in the LBF moss inventory project as well as vice president of the Swedish bryological society "Mossornas Vänner".
I have been a guest on the Swedish radio program "Naturmorgon" (P1) three times (2007, 2009 and 2010), talking about bryophytes. And last but not least, I am the reigning Swedish Champion of Floristics (arranged by the Lund Botanical Gardens in 2007)!
I have two kids and currently work 75%.
