My Ph.D. (2006-2010) was about the optical properties of fish lenses. In my research, I used mathematical computer modeling based on experiments done on various fish species to find out how fish lenses compensate for chromatic aberration.
I'm currently (2010 - present) a postdoctorate associate at Duke University, Durham, NC, USA
I study cephalopod (octopus, squid, & cuttlefish) camouflage using behavioral experiments.
