Courses

We offer a wide variety of courses in Biology, Molecular Biology and Ecology.

The majority of our intermediate and advanced courses are taught in English. Our basic courses are taught in Swedish.

Most of our courses are full-time courses and you are generally not supposed to take more than one course at a time.

The academic year is divided into an Autumn term and a Spring term. The terms are divided into two periods:

Autumn period 1 and 2
Spring period 1 and 2

A course of 15 credits lasts for one period. Full-time courses of 7,5 credits are either offered during the first part of a period (a) or the second part of the period (b).

Autumn term 2012

• 1st Period: 3/9–4/11
  (44 days)
• 1a: 3/9–2/10
• 1b: 3/10-4/11
• 2nd Period: 5/11–20/1
  (45 days)
• 2a: 5/11–4/12
• 2b: 5/12–20/1

Spring term 2013

• 1st Period: 21/1–22/3
  (45 days, there will be no lectures 13/2 due to the labour market day)
• 1a: 21/1–20/2
• 1b: 21/2–22/3
• 2nd Period: 2/4–7/6
  (44 days)
• 2a: 2/4–29/4
• 2b: 2/5–7/6

Holidays

Autmn term 2012

• Christmas holiday: 22/12–6/1

Spring term 2013

• Easter holiday: 25/3–1/4
• Holiday: 30/4–1/5
• Holiday: 9-10/5
• Holiday: 6/6
