"Urban Transport" takes Swedish traffic expertise out into the world

Lack of effective transport routes, poor traffic safety and failing public transport today constitute one of the most serious obstacles to positive social development in the Third World. On behalf of Sida [the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency], Lund University Education is arranging the international training programme &ldquoUrban Transport&rdquo. The programme is to spread Swedish expertise in the fields of traffic safety, traffic planning, public transport and accessibility for the disabled to developing countries in Asia, Africa and Latin America.
