Every time I have passed through the foyer with BÖÖL:s photo exhibition, I have wondered who the winner will be. And yesterday it was revealed.

The winning photo was taken during an excursion to Vakö myr. Photo: Albin Andersson
Winner was Albin Andersson with his photo of a spider with water droplets in the net. You can see more of Albins wonderful photos at Flickr.
- The competition within nature photography is intense and it is hard to make a living as a professional. So I keep on taking pictures on an amateur basis, says Albin.

Benjamin Forsmark was runner up with photo number 25, the flying Blue tit. Third price was given to David Wickström for his photo of Mörrumsån (no. 1).

Jep Agrell handed out the prices to the three contributions that received the most votes. So what did the winners get more than the honour? Well, the Department of Biology will buy their photos for 500 kr, 750 kr and 1000 kr, respectively. Apart from the money the winner also got a beautiful frog figurine, donated by an anonymous benefactor.

The photo exhibition was a wonderful initative by the student organisation BÖÖL! We hope that there will be a sequel, because this realy lit up the Ecology buildning.
