During the last 20 years five large ventures were launched by Swedish heritage institutions. They all had in common a will to be a part of contemporary society and the development of equal and active citizenships. During the same period the field of cultural heritage was widened and opened for new phenomenons. What could be considered heritage was no longer certain.
