The thesis discusses eating out in restaurant as a modern phenomena mainly studying contemporary restaurant culture. Focusing upon ethnic restaurants and the guest perspective the dissertation discusses socialization and consumption, food culture and restaurant experiences, food origin and authenticity and senses and food memories.
