Andreas Önnerfors (b. 71) in 2003 defended his thesis on cultural relations between Sweden and its posession on German soil, Swedish Pomerania ("Swedish Pomerania-Cultural Encounters and Identification 1720-1815"). In postdoctoral research Andreas Önnerfors focussed on Swedsish eighteenth-century-freemasonry and its connections to European enlightenment as well as worked on presshistorical dimensions of the history of sciences.
Between 2003 and 2007 Andreas Önnerfors was mainly working at Lund university as postdoc and lecturer. Between 2007 and 2010 he has been affiliated to universities in Germany, France and England, as well as continued to contribute to different projects in Sweden.
Among other projects, he has worked on Jacob Gustaf Pontusson de la Gardies diary and correspondence from Vienna around 1800 and the German reception of the Japanse travel of Carl Peter Thunberg.
