Mats Arvidson

is Ph.D. in musicology, senior lecturer in intermedial studies. He defended his thesis, "A Tonally Well-Organized Society or Anarchy? Aesthetical and Social Aspects on Swedish Art Music 1945–1960", in 2007 at Gothenburg University. Between 2009–2012 he was Head of the Div. of Culture Management and Intermediality. He teaches and supervises students in Intermedial Studies, and Culture Management, and previously students in Book Publishing.

Between 2011–2013 he will do research on two external funded research projects:
1. "The Musical Work in the Post-Digital Age" (Erik Philip-Sörensen Foundation)
2. "The Medium is the Message" (Wahlgrenska Foundation).
