Valery E. Forbes visits the department

Last fall, the PhD students of the biology department nominated and voted for the Spring 2012 guest lecturer. Valery E. Forbes from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln will be coming to Lund next week to give the Spring lecture titled, "Assessing risks to ecosystem services - opportunities and challenges."
Valery has done research in a variety of areas dealing with population dynamics, environmental stressors, risk assessment, and environmental management. She has also been involved with research in the EU including CREAM dealing with chemical risk assessment as well as NanoReTox, a research project examining environmental toxicity of nanoparticles.
