We hope these web pages will answer some of the many questions you might have about day-to-day practical matters in your new environment

What is IRSO?

At the International Researchers & Scholars Office (IRSO) we work strategically & operatively in cooperation with international coordinators at the departments.

IRSO aims to support PhD students, post-docs, visiting scholars and families. We offer general information on settling in Sweden and we also assist the inviting departments.

We provide:

  • Checklists-before arrival, during stay, prior to departure
  • Contacts with public authorities & private industries & relocation service
  • Introduction day in English
  • Scholarship holders support
  • Evaluation form prior to departure from Sweden
  • Information about insurances for incoming international personnel & scholarship holders

Inside the handbook you will find bookmarks on the left hand side, which will direct you to information you find most relevant.
