Fine-scale niche differentiation and community genomics in Festuca ovina
Earlier studies on several species have demonstrated significant associations between individual allozyme phenotypes and fine-scale habitat variation in the steppe-like grasslands of the Great Alvar on Öland.
A collaborative project with Yuan Li (PhD student), Honor C. Prentice, Anders Tunlid and Tomas Johansson, Lena Ghatnekar and Mikael Lönn (Södertörn University) is exploring sequence-based allelic differentiation at the (duplicated) Pgi C locus in the grass F. ovina, and the relationships between genomic data and plant community composition.
